Make Money Online Trading

Posted Wednesday, August 13, 2008 by momscashblog | 24 Comments so far

When I started here on MomsCashBlog I said I never made any money online…. (except 11 cents, if you want to count that! lol) and so I wanted to give blogging a try. Well, it turns out that I forgot about the money I made from online trading! I forgot all about this, until a while ago when I got a letter from my financial advisor telling me not to panic when I see my Mutual Funds and Stock Market Portfolio. That was months ago, and I did not panic… in fact I put a little more into my mutual funds and some stock because this is the perfect time to do so if you have any extra money to invest (and if you look for some good deals that you think will do well in the future!).

Some of my stock was generated online made me a lot of money. It did so well I turned it over to my financial advisor and let her take care of it. So it’s been “out of sight… out of mind” just as good stock should be, and growing every month and every year. Little by little I weeded out certain ones and bought some better stock with the help of my financial advisor… but I have to say, I did soooo much better with the stock I bought online by myself! So I am going to get back into online trading now that I’m always on the computer with this blog.

I love online trading because you can make decisions in the privacy of your own home. I think because of this, you make better decisions by using your intuition and experience as a consumer. No one is pressuring you to get into something you don’t want to. If you’ve ever had a broker or financial advisor then you know what it’s like to be pressured… or getting ”advice” on things you’re not sure about. Some of the advice is good… but sometimes we can make better decisions than the experts can, especially when it comes to our own money. With stock, I know I can do a better job of choosing what is right for me.  So I’m getting back into online trading (or choosing stock online) and using my own intuition and knowledge to add to my retirement plan.

Choosing my own stock has worked for me in the past and I know it will work for me again. We all have good intuition and we should be using it when it comes to making money. I’ll be doing some posts for women as I know there are a lot of moms making money online and I want to help them make more money! Men know and love the stock market, but historically, a lot of women are leary to get into it. We tend to think of it as a “man’s game” but it is for everyone!  Women are actually great at choosing certain stock  because they are the biggest consumers. Women are the ones out there buying things for the household, for the kids, and for men. So from now on every time you buy something… think about the place you are buying from… think about the product you are buying… think about the latest trend your kids are into… and go online and look them up.

Go onto Yahoo Finance and type in the name you’re looking up in the “get quote” field. Play around and learn all you can. Even if you don’t have any money to invest, pretend you have loads of money and make a game of it. You will be putting the ”laws of attraction” into action by “pretending to invest”. The more you pay around with money, the more money becomes attracted to you. (I’ll talk more about that later!!)

Unless you’re employed by someone else, you always have to invest some money in order to make money. Start putting away money every chance you get… save as much as you can so that you can get into the game. Some things are low right now so it’s a good time to get into it. You don’t have to start big, but at least check the stock market out and play around online by looking up the things you are familiar with.  There is room for everyone in the stock market and everyone should be investing…  it’s the fastest way I know of to make money. I’ll be talking more about online trading as I get into it and I hope others will join me and I welcome advice from anyone and everyone.

I have always wanted to play the stock market but I felt it was too complicated and risky. Went on Yahoo and it was a little confusing but like the idea of pretending to play. Thanks, I think I’m going to enjoy doing this. Can’t wait to hear more from you.

Stock trading is a lot of fun and your strategy is a good one.

If you don’t have any experience and want to practice trading in a simulated environment, Wall Street Survivor offers free, virtual $100,000 cash portfolios.

You get to trade real stocks in real time without risking any of your own money.

To boot, you can win real cash prizes if you turn out to be an excellent trader or if you have some beginner’s luck!

I’ve been wanting to try investing for a long time. My mom hasn’t had much luck with it and her retirement fund so I was a little worried about choosing investing over buying property. I won’t always be able to afford to buy so maybe I should give it a try.

Buying companies that you understand and use are how many have made millions. Warren Buffet is an excellent example of an investor buying what he understands. If you enjoy Disney products or Disney movies, do some research on the company and you’ll not only be an investor but someone who enjoys using Disney products too. Same goes for all those products you use around the house: Clorox, Pespsi, Coke, GE, etc. Start with a company or brand you’ve used for years, and start there. Here’s another one many people overlook. Tootsie roll industries symbol TR, yep the same company that makes all that candy!

Hey Laura, Thanks!! it’s always fun to play around with money, even better if we make some extra $$!! lol

Vlad… stick around and we’ll try some things online.

Debbie… I know it can be confusing at first, but you don’t have to know everything about the stock market to make money. Yahoo is a good one because you can also get some articles on the stock you choose. (I like that.)

Hi Lloyd… sent an e-mail. I can’t wait to talk to you later!!

Hey Jackie… Get that “invention” of yours going and I’ll buy stock in it! lol

Mark.. Thanks! I went to the site you recommended and I love it. Great idea. Just the type of thing I was looking for. Thanks again.

Jumble Blogger… LOVE your new theme/site! Your other one was great also, but this is so unique. Great job.

Scott… I think that’s the best way to buy stock. choose the things we use daily and have faith in. It’s so much better than just buying what the “gurus” recommend. Never thought of investing in Tootsie Rolls. lol (good Idea!)

I like the part you said about “laws of attraction” and money. Even though you’ve no money at all, by just playing a simulated stock trading game, you are putting the forces of the “law of attraction” into motion. Next thing to do is just relax and let the money flow in. It’s that simple.

Great post.

Elaine… Thanks for your comment. (It must have been moderating so I didn’t catch it earlier, sorry.) Retirement funds are lowering along with stocks because of the economy, but if you can put more into it when it’s low you get more bang for your buck later when the stocks go up… (and they WILL go up!) It’s good to get into stock now. But you are right, buying property is a good investment right now too, if you can.

Hey Stephen… Yes, they say the more you deal with money, the more it comes to you.

Online trading has been so popular these day. I have to agree with you that, if we trading online at our home, we have some privacy and we can analyse the market better.
